Curt Trailer Connector Adapter Installation - 2020 Volvo XC60- Video
Connor: Hey guys, Connor here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the CURT trailer connector adapter here for our 2020 Volvo XC60. So this is what the 7-way is going to look like installed on pretty much all vehicles. As you can see here, the great thing about this adapter here, it's going to take a 4-way flat trailer connector adapter, which is the most common and standard kind and it's going to adapt it into a 7-way trailer connector adapter. We're also still going to retain the 4-way on the side here.So if you're wondering why you would need a 7-way trailer connector and the reason for this is most larger to medium duty trailers or any trailer with brakes for that matter, is going to require the 7-way because the 7-way has more circuits than the 4-way, which allows us to accommodate additional features such as the electric brake output pin or reverse lights, should we need them. It's also going to have a battery charge line circuit if our trailer has an onboard battery. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Volvo S60- Video
Today on our 2008 Volvo S60, we're going to show you how to install the Tow Ready Upgraded Circuit ModuLite with the 4-Pole Harness and Hardwire kit, part number is 119179KIT. Now to begin our installation, we're going to need to get into our trunk area here. Our green wire is going to run over to the passenger side of the vehicle and that's going to be connected to our passenger side to our right side blinker wire. The red wire that you can see here, this gets connected to either a ground, or in this particular application with the S60, this is going to go to our stop light or our brake light wire. The yellow wire goes to our left turn signal. The brown wire to our running lights. It's a really easy system to set there. You get a ground wire here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Volvo XC90- Video
Today on our 2004 Volvo XC90, well be installing the Tow Ready 4-pole Wiring Kit, part number 119190KIT. To start our install, well first go ahead and open up the rear cargo door and tailgate. Then well open up the rear storage compartment and remove the rear storage compartment tray. Next, well remove the two corner pieces, one on the floor board. The other will be the quarter panel access door. Now starting on the drivers side, well need to go ahead and test the manufacturers wire so we can locate the brake, running, and turn signal circuits. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Volvo XC90 119190KIT- Video
Today on this 2004 Volvo XC90, we will be installing the modulite wiring harness kit part number 119190KIT. We are inside the cargo region of the vehicle here. We are going to need to go ahead and dissect most of the rear to gain access to wiring points that we are going to be attaching to. The actual connection points are located behind the interior panels here. To gain access to those, we are going to need to start by removing the cargo floor here and release the straps on each side. Then we can just take the handle here in the center and pull that up. If you want to just set that off to the side for the time being. Next I am going to remove the corner cover here.
